In 2017 I started together with fellow illustrator Naomi King the community event Talk & Draw 010 . It was a monthly event for and by illustrators and drawing enthusiasts. Every evening kicked off with a professional illustrator as a guest speaker who would share insights on his or her work. Then everyone would just mingle and draw and sketch together for the rest of the night!
Quickly we reached hundreds of people through social media platforms such as Meetup and Facebook, and today we count over a 1000 online community members. We had a steady number of visitors every event and quickly built a enthusiast community.
In total we organised 8 Talk & Draw events in 2016 before I took a baby break. Currently we are looking for someone to take over the online community and possibly organise new events in the future.
