The trekking from Inle Lake to a Pa’o village was stunning. Amazing scenery and a tough hike up the 1500 meter hill top from where we had a beautiful sunset view over the Inle Lake.
We slept in a small village ni a bamboo house with a farmers’ family. A grandfather, a widow and her 2 children living a very basic lifestyle in the countryside, far away from the bustling town of Nyaungshwe. At night, the stars were countless. The woman of the household cooked an amazing, very much appreciated meal on an open wood fire in the house. We all smelled like smoked fish after that and went happily unshowered to sleep on a straw mat š
Can’t wait to make the next trek, from Hsipaw, for more than 2 days/1 night!
