January has been a month for me of grounding again in a steady drawing practice.
After having explored different mediums over the last couple of months, I turned back to my old time favorite black-and-white ink drawing style for a couple of weeks and got inspired by Kate Bingaman-Burt to just draw STUFF.
In her Skillshare class she shows how to take great pleasure in drawing collections. I never thought of it like that before, but collections of objects are indeed very fun and satisfying to draw, especially when you’re a neat freak and organized person like me 🙂
About Skillshare
Since a little less than a year I’ve been a passionate Skillshare member. Skillshare is a great online platform with thousands of classes, given by passionate professionals. It’s been a great resource for me, as a learning illustrator, to see how other illustrators work. Their process, sources of inspiration, technical ins and outs of Adobe software, how to market your artwork: it’s all out there, shown to you by succesful people from the industry. Students can upload their projects and receive direct feedback from a community of professionals and enthusiasts. If you’re not sure whether it’s worth ten bucks a month, then try it out for 3 months and pay only $ 0,99 total!
